Hello!

I’m Elena, the founder of “Un rêve d’enfance”. I have three children of my own and have been organising birthday parties for over 10 years. After moving to France in 2020, I was surprised to learn how children here celebrated their special days -without any activity plans and just a vast quantity of bright and sugary “bonbons”.

Even though the children do seem to have fun, this kind of party does not make the day stand out nor does it make the birthday girl or boy feel particularly special.

I truly believe such an event needs to be properly organised and thoughtfully constructed to set the right tone and ensure everyone leaves with memories they’ll never forget. A successful party follows a consistent theme, complete with engaging activities and games, where the birthday girl or boy is the centre of everything.

Effective decorations on any scale can transport guests into the party world and leave a unique impression. My son often refers to his age by the theme he chose for his party that year. He remembers what he loved at the time and just how I’d iced the gingerbread to decorate his birthday cake: ninja turtles, construction, Star Wars, firefighters…

The taste of the day is also essential. Everyone prefers natural flavours, fresh fruits, and the proper taste of a delicious homemade honey cake or caramel-filled chocolate cupcakes. They are all the happier and kinder for it.

And for face painting and gift wrapping I vouch – this is my special love, as a person with an artistic education.
